Chwarae Teg is the leading agency for the economic development of women
in Wales. Chwarae Teg supports, develops and expands the role of women
in the Welsh economy. They believe that the Welsh economy will only reach
its full potential when every individual is given an equal opportunity
to contribute.
Women are playing a greater role in the economy than ever before, but continue
to face obstacles in education, employment and enterprise that prevent
many form developing their skills and careers.
Communities

CIC’s are a new type of limited company designed to operate for the
benefit of the community as oppose to being for the benefit of the owners
of the company. CIC’s are not formed for the personal benefit of
a particular person, or group of people.
Coalfields Regeneration Trust (www.coalfields-regen.org.uk)
The Coalfield Regeneration Trust is dedicated to improving the quality
of life for people in Britain’s coalfield communities. Its aim
is to make coalfields sustainable and to work towards the point where
they can be prosperous, viable and cohesive without support. It provides
grants across Britain’s coalfield areas through two schemes: ‘Bridging
the Gap’ – for grants up to £10,000 and its ‘Main
Grants’ programme which offers grants of up to £100,000.
